From Deborah and Phillip Lovelace...

in response to the Times-Dispatch article "Uranium Mining Plan Splits VA County":

http://www.timesdispatch.com/rtd/news/state_regional/article/URAN08_20090207-212206/200937/

Remember that Coles Hill will probably be only the first mine IF the
moratorium is lifted.

Who is going to pay all the real estate taxes and all the other taxes we pay
if we (who have faithfully paid our taxes) move, not only out of the county
but out of the state because we can not take a chance with our children's
health? I hope the county and state representatives take this into
consideration.

Please forward to everyone in your email address book.

PS I wonder if Gov. Kaine will bring his children here to camp at the uranium
pit and canoe in the Banister as shown in his "green" commercials? Or does
he think this is ok for our children but not his?

Thanks

Deborah Lovelace
Phillip is quoted in the article. He's 9th generation Pittsylvania Countian. Both Deborah and Phil are extremely active in SCC and the anti-mining movement. Their efforts are tireless! We so appreciate all they do to preserve their home...the land they love so much!

Deborah,

I see you quoting Saddam Hussein generated propaganda about uranium somewhere on this page so maybe you should actually learn something factual about uranium mining as it is conducted today, not as it was done in the 1940s. A good place to start is the Geology Department
