Pittsylvania Co. NAACP Will Weigh Uranium Study

The Pittsylvania County branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People will weigh the planned study on uranium mining at a meeting on Thursday, March 12 in Chatham [at 6 pm].

The meeting will provide information to NAACP members and minority residents on the study and the role of the county Board of Supervisors and other agencies in the study, according to Willie T. Fitzgerald, branch president.

The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. at the Community Action Senior Center on North Main Street in Chatham.
